Distance: less than 3 miles
Cost: No entrance fee and parking is also free on the roadside.
Parking: You can park right next to the Florence Greenway entrance on Cocknage Road (postcode ST3 4NZ), at no cost. There are also plenty of other side streets nearby if the road is full.
Route, Paths and Accessibility: To start with the path is very flat and easy to follow but when you reach Florence Hill the path can become very muddy and steep at times, which is more difficult to access. At times, the paths are thin and faint, just trodden through long grass, but the instructions and map help to clarify.
General Information: Lots of flowers and plants and some wildlife to photograph to make interesting photos. At the top of Florence Hill there is an amazing view where you can see Park Hall hills, Berry Hill in Fenton and all the way across Lightwood, Longton and Cocknage. Some excellent landscape photo opportunities. Also different landscapes from open field to wooded areads.
Amenities: There is a Fayre and Square pub nearby which serves food and refreshments with a play area for kids, but no toilets or refreshment amenities on route and no benches along the route for rest stops.
